DeepSeek and the AI Narrative

Wall Street is throwing tantrums on DeepSeek. 

DeepSeek's R1 is a large language model (LLM), which is basically a cheaper, more efficient ChatGPT, built on a fraction of OpenAI’s budget and using fewer chips than any other leading chatbot.
